Puppy Groom (Puppy First)
A puppy groom is designed to gently introduce your puppy to the grooming process for the first time.
We focus on helping your puppy feel safe and comfortable with bathing, drying, nail trims, and the sounds and sensations of grooming.
What's included
Each session is guided by what your puppy is comfortable with on the day. We work at their pace and never push them beyond what they can handle.
This may include a bath, blow dry, nail trim, and gentle desensitisation to clippers and scissors.
These sessions can be repeated as needed until your puppy is ready for a full groom.
We often recommend a short series of puppy sessions to help build confidence and set your puppy up for a lifetime of positive grooming experiences.
The grooming room is cleaned with vet-grade disinfectant between dogs, so this is a safe option from the time your puppy comes home, even if they aren’t fully vaccinated.
This service is ideal for puppies who are new to grooming or have not yet had a positive grooming experience.
Why no full haircut for puppies?
First grooms are about building positive associations. We go at your puppy’s pace so the experience stays calm and stress-free.
This is why we don’t include a full body haircut in early sessions—confidence comes first.
